Before you purchase a boiler for residential use, you need to research all the types of boilers readily available in the market, together with their pros and cons. The available residential boilers include a natural gas boiler, electric boiler, steam boiler, condensing boiler, and an oil boiler. Of these boiler types, the consensus best fit for standard residential use is the natural gas boiler. Why? Glad you asked, please read on!

Cost-effective

A natural gas boiler is a good source of inexpensive energy in terms of the initial purchase and its maintenance. The operating costs for this boiler are quite affordable, and the initial capital for installation does not fluctuate compared to those of oil and electricity. I prefer natural gas because it utilizes energy from domestic sources; therefore, I wouldn’t worry about having any shortage if I do not have money to pay for bills such as the electricity bill.

Environmentally Friendly

Having a residential boiler that is also environmentally friendly is a plus for me. Natural gas is a clean source of energy, and that is why it is my favorite. It has no dirty emissions the way coal and oil does, even though it produces greenhouse gases.

Energy Efficient

When using natural gas to heat your water, you will require less energy than other boilers. This is why I prefer this type of boiler as it helps keep the energy bills as low as possible while fulfilling its purpose.

Hot Water On Demand

I love natural gas, as I never have to worry about experiencing any shortages. When using electricity, you are never guaranteed a constant supply of hot water due to the unplanned power shortages that may occur.

Oil shortages can also leave you with cold water due to market fluctuations. natural gas is never affected by storm disruptions the way electricity is affected. This is because the gas is transported in underground pipes into your home.

Ease of Installation and Use

Natural gas is the best in terms of convenience, as you don’t need a holding tank, nor are you expected to call in for refills. Installation and maintenance of natural gas boilers are as easy as 1-2-3. All you need to do is hook it up into the pipeline, and you are good to go. I am intrigued by the fact that natural gas heats water way faster than all the other heaters.

Natural gas boilers are an excellent choice when it comes to selecting a boiler to use in your home. Who does not wish to save money? Well, not me. I go for anything that is not only the best but also cost-effective. Having a natural gas boiler makes me feel good about making a choice that keeps the environment clean.
